What to expect at Global Black Pride 2024’s Human Rights and Health Conference

Join us for the Global Black Pride 2024 Human Rights and Health Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, from August 27th to 29th, with the rest of Global Black Pride continuing until September 2nd. This conference is a unique opportunity that brings together Black LGBIQ individuals, activists, government and UN officials, community leaders, policymakers, researchers, and the private sector to engage and devise big solutions. Apply for Community Activities and Scholarships

Global Black Pride is offering scholarships to Black LGBIQ activists, community organizers, health professionals, human rights lawyers, scientists, and young investigators from around the world. Scholarship applications have been extended until June 15th. Additionally, Global Black Pride Atlanta 2024 is calling for community submissions to be part of the Global Black Village. We seek contributions that embody the spirit of “Empowerment Through Unity” and aim to create a rich, immersive cultural experience. Submissions can include workshops, art exhibits, performances, discussions, and more, all designed to promote unity, inclusivity, and empowerment within the Black LGBTQ+ community.

USA Visa Information

We encourage everyone who wants to attend GBP to register for the conference to obtain a visa letter, which can be presented at US embassies around the world. GBP, in collaboration with the Office of Immigration and Affairs in Atlanta, has communicated with embassies globally about GBP 2024. It is the delegate’s responsibility to investigate visa requirements for the USA and apply for a visa, if necessary. Delegates are advised to apply for their visa as soon as possible and no later than 90 days before the conference. There is no automatic entitlement to a US visa.
